May 9, 2022, is the Philippines’ general election. I will cast my vote for Leni Robredo for President and Kiko Pangilinan for Vice-President.
Compared to previous elections, I tried to be systematic in my decision-making process. Weighing each candidate’s position based on the values I care most about. Primarily to lift the human condition by improving our standard of living and quality of life. With this approach, I am doing my best to decide with a clear mind – without the noise of election propaganda.
After gathering pertinent information on all candidates, it was apparent and frankly an easy decision to support Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan. Especially in this election, we cannot get complacent. We know that election polls cannot be trusted based on experience with recent US elections. As of this writing, Marcos and Duterte are leading the polls. This will have tragic consequences if Marcos is elected, especially to our fellow Filipinos. It is indisputable that the Marcos family has stolen BILLIONS of dollars from Filipinos. One cannot fathom this amount of money – the effects of these lost funds are still felt by every Filipino today. Stealing significant funds from your people should be an easy disqualification!
I urge my fellow Filipinos to do all we can to get Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan elected. Time and time again, we have seen history repeat itself – and progress made can instantly vanish. Let us move forward to continually improve the Philippines. Vote Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan!
